Health insurance is a scam. I have tinnitus and I'm partially deaf. My insurance provider says that hearing tests are part of baseline, preventative care, covered 100%. But during that hearing test, any discussion with the doctor about my tinnitus is NOT preventative care. And what that means (1/2)

(2/2) is that any time spent even DISCUSSING my tinnitus with that doctor is billed differently. Not treatment, just the time spent on a particular topic during preventative care can be billed separately. Absurd that just getting care and knowing what it costs are impossible.
