Gimme a break. Their ain’t no sidewalks in the suburbs. Schools are purposely designed so kids have to be driven to school. Not like the inner city where you can walk them to school, buy a bagel, socks and vegetables on the corner before hopping the subway to work.

You could have walked to my local elementary school.

I don’t know if people did, I went to an out of area school because my grandmother worked there. But we walked there to play on the playground all the time, so it was doable.

Neighborhoods are different.

... though, they somehow always omit the phrase "...that I got caught."
