Thanks @EricGrevstad I’ll scratch that off my list of possibilities.
E.G. for Example @EricGrevstad
I looked into the famous body farm founded at the University of Tennessee in 1972 to help police study decomposition. Turns out there's a long waiting list.

My best friend and I were just discussing this subject yesterday. We would both prefer to be cremated, (as opposed to all the rotting and being eaten by maggots and stuff) but understand that it's not good for the environment. Any evidence that there are greener cremation options out there?

If some of the modern methods -- human composting, alkaline hydrolysis -- do not appeal, what about a good, old-fashioned "green burial" (if your state accommodates them). I believe they are less environmentally impactful than cremation. https://www.greenburialcouncil.org

I definitely do not want to be buried. I want to be dust, and in the wind, along with my spirit. 🙂💙
