I wrote about that new study on menopausal hormone therapy and Alzheimer's. I was asked a lot about the study, and hopefully I've answered them all. https://vajenda.substack.c...

You caught my attention by focusing on age 51 as a turning point for hrt. I'm 51 yo & finally seeking hrt to treat hot flushes, brain fog, depression/anxiety, insomnia related to perimenopause. What is the significance of 51? I have your book so feel free to direct me back to the CH & thank you!

This significance is for people who have gone through menopause < age 45. For them, taking estrogen until the average age of menopause (51) helps to negate their increased risk of heart disease and dementia. And then at 51 then decide, like everyone else, if they want to stay on hormones or not.
