Nancy Pelosi is 83, running for a 2 year term in the House. Bernie Sanders is 82, running for a 6 year term in the Senate. Nancy has been wildly effective; Bernie has renamed post offices. If you’re telling Nancy to retire and not Bernie, you’re a sexist hypocrite.

And let’s not forget Chuck Grassley who will be 95 when his current term ends! Nancy’s got at least 6 more two year terms before she hits that age!

Thank you for this! I don't understand the position of many progressives who embrace Bernie Sanders despite his being older than Joe Biden and Sanders' very short list of accomplishments. I've heard "Biden's too old" and "I just don't like him" comments enough to be unnerved about the 2024 election.

Say Pelosi should retire?

Not for me to say.

It's up to the people in her district to re-elect her or not.

Wildly effective is debatable. But setting that aside, who is up and coming in the party? I would be very interested to know who might be an option for leadership for the next 30 years once the people that have been there for 30+ years die.
