If democrats continue to take the high road while the GOP goes lower and lower, we will run out of road.
Turning the other cheek is absolutely viewed as weakness.

I am so tired of hot takes that Democrats need to be more ruthless, amoral, and like the fascists to win.

Strength, conviction, decisive action, using the tools we have- all that is fine. But that's not "taking the low road". The low road is things like lies, and fraud, and bigotry, and terrorism.

More generally, I am sick of the assumption that amorality is inherently more effective. It speaks to a profound cynicism, rooted in a fundamentally authoritarian worldview. Its how the fascists and tyrants want us to see the world- as a place where only the corrupt, ruthless, or cruel can succeed.

They already accuse us of these things, with their endless evidence-free 'investigations' of Hillary and Biden, but it's clearly projection. Jumping into their mud is NOT a solution.

There’s got to be a way to fight them without becoming them. Right? (Please say yes!)

Sure, blame the Democrats for Republican crimes. Keep shouting "both sides" when one side is literal Nazis. Maybe you'll convince enough people to stay home or "protest vote" and Republicans will win... and then you can blame the Democrats for not doing enough with the seats they don't have.
