Question for the #WritingCommunity - my laptop time’s been curtailed lately, so I’m growing my #WIP via typing on my phone & dictation. The latter especially gets me progress, but parsing & formatting is a disaster. Dreading my 1st editing pass.

Anyone else do this? I’d love some tips!

Anne Rice wrote through dictaction, from what I recall she was running Dragon Naturally Speaking (I'm hoping to test this approach soon-ish at least for dialogue)

I didn’t know that, very cool! I’ve been using the built-in system, so I expect real software would probably help with the parsing issues. Thanks!

Dictation software is the way to go long term, actually the one built into Office365 isn't bad. The only downside to something like Dragon Pro is it's 500$, the mobile version works just as well but it's a monthly subscription. I'm still looking at options.

Woof, that's hefty! Got Office though, so I'll give that a try. Hopefully MS' mobile is the same as their desktop, but it's got to be better than standard iOS.
