Okay, English Heritage, the Saxons came over to Britain, not England. ENGLAND DIDN'T EXIST YET. Names matter. Tbh, it feels like deliberate propaganda to grant the English a deep-history connection to the isle that it simply doesn't have. They are post-Rome invaders. I'm unreasonably angry at this.

It's not the first time they've done this, either. They talked about Stonehenge being built in England. It bloody wasn't! It was built in Britain and was likely already in ruins when England became a thing. Stonehenge is as much 'England's Story' as the Goseck Circle is Britain's. ARGH!
