The game Tuberville is playing is far more dangerous than just holding up promotions and endangering women in the service.

He's setting us up the way McConnell did in 2016 to achieve institutional capture of the military https://newrepublic.com/ar...

We need new rules. Ditch the colonial-era rules that treat the US as if it’s a fledgling frontier. No one Senator should be able to hold up confirmation hearings like this. Tuberville is blocking the will of millions of Americans, who he does not represent. We see what he’s doing and it’s dangerous.

Information and technology are disrupting the entire social and political fabric of the world. New rules will not save the state. It is possible we can live up to the ideals of our Constitution in a post-industrial society.

The Dems and Schumer have tools to manage this and force single votes but they lack the spine to execute it. They’re playing a senate game from the 80s and this isn’t the Rep party from the 80s.
