“It sounded completely out of step with his staunch support for life while he was president”

We've forgotten the many trial balloons he launched over the years that flopped and he immediately abandoned and/or covered with distractions and (more) lies.

Those days are fast coming to an end. They're turning on him. He'll blame them for abandoning him. #TeamDownwardSpiral

Time is running out and he's running out of room in the corner he painted (doubled down) himself into.

Side note on reason Number 5 (see linked spout) in light of NBC's MTP Kristen Welker interview with him: The primaries haven't begun (and we're more than a year from the general election). He'll be on TV, though. "Indictments go to 11."

He might be 'losing the narrative' now, though--a combination of cognitive decline, desperation, and (concurrent) having painted himself into that corner. GOP implosion also seems to be underway. MAGA cult bewilderment/anger/lashing out to follow--and more stochastic terrorism/violence.

Remains to be seen: is he contorting his way to fleeing the country? Is that the--only--'back door' to the corner he's in?
