Just found out a close family member's sudden blood sugar spike (1100) might be the result of him having had covid in July. No family history of diabetes. He had to be started on IV insulin quickly! They are speculating an autoimmune issue with covid? Y'all be careful out there!

Wow!! That’s really high. I developed Type 1 diabetes about 55 years ago. No family history of diabetes. Might be an auto-immune issue but certainly not Covid.

The docs can't figure his sudden increase and covid has been mentioned several times. I don't understand it either?
