I know there’s been time to digest the Meet The Press interview conducted by Kristen Welker with trump. And everyone is in a collective meltdown.
I want to make a definitive statement, and take a different approach that’s been discussed many times recently, just not in circles out side academia.

1 - the Press loves Trump.
2 - “Objectivity” is a construct the MSM uses to hide their conservative ideals and white supremacy.

1 - Trump is greatest gift the Mainstream Media was ever given. He’s great for ratings, train wreck and all, and the MSM can claim a minor victory if they make a followup question.

Conversely, if one demands the MSM do a better job covering real stories or complain about the context, then they’re just “a trump” who calls them liars and “fake news”.

2 - Kristen Welker was setup for failure. Perhaps the NBC powers convinced her this was “a get”, or perhaps she was told to do it - either way, it’s not hard to imagine the Comcast Powers seeing this as much a hazing as a baptism by fire.

And now, a behind the scenes narrative begins to take shape that benefits the MSM ideals. “Look at how all ‘leftists’ are dumping on you, Kristen. See, they’re the real enemy.” And the other more insidious ideal of “welcome to the big boys room. Do you have what it takes?”

Another more scholarly view is that “Objectivity” and “Professionalism” are the mechanisms that white supremacy use to control the news and the news rooms.

Taking both above views into consideration, it’s easy to see how journalists and ‘News personalities’ are engineered or created, not born purely from merit. Welker has been a great White House correspondent and decent reporter for some time, but she has a new job.

It would only make sense that many professional journalists are be backed into a corner, whether willingly or not. But also, going along to get promoted is as much a part of the news business as any other business. There are standards, and one must abide.
