Malinowski will always look like a convenient, w/o thought or consideration. It doesn't matter why you or anyone has him as their 1st choice to replace Menendez. NJ has a deep bench of elected and non-elected people to replace him. Not considering them is still an insult. 1/7

New Jersey has a deep, deep bench of elected people at the State Legislature and county commissioner level. We have non-electeds, Malinowski among them. But not considering others first will never not be an insult optically.

There's nothing that WinnKhuong and others like her are doing or saying that will ever change that. That battle is lost, at least optically. Take the L, and reframe the argument. You're not doing Malinowski any favors by fighting this. 3/x

n some ways, these people are more qualified than Malinowski to replace Menendez; in some ways, Malinowski is more qualified than they are. 5/x

It would do New Jerseyans and others an excellent service, to highlight these other great potential candidates who are qualified. Even if one still supports Malinowski at the end of the day, even if he is the 1st choice, highlight them and their work. 6/x

Because Malinowski isn't the only one. We can't be a State known only for already widely known people. Otherwise, we will only block the wonderful people in our deep bench, those to come after them, and miss out on new wonderful people getting elected. 7/end
