My late father didn't always curse but he had a few crude phrases he consistently used. One was "they have a stick up their ass."

I should thank some of the people who remind me of that phrase and thus remind me of my long gone father.

My Dad was an industrial salesman, and in his travels he picked up and used all sorts of colorful phrases.
“You’re fulla donkey dust!”
“Crimanitly!” (sp?)

Your guess is as good as mine! My dad said it, too, and that’s where I picked it up. Out of curiosity I just Googled it and the correct(ish) spelling is criminently and it’s origin is American!
