The carrots are going to need thinning soon. They are coming out very abundantly. I'm excited for these varieties, especially the Atomic Red.

I'm also pretty tired because I did a big canning session yesterday. Thank the Gods for electric canner. I did a plum sauce which came out delicious. Also, two meals-in-a-jar; a beef stew and chicken & veg.

I also did a batch of French Onion Soup. I tried a new type of jar from Azure Standard. The jars are pretty, but I'm not impressed with the lids. I already have one failure, possibly two. Fortunately, you can buy the jars from Azure Standard without the lids, so I can use my For Jars lids.

My irrigation hoses came in yesterday. I need to install it some time this week, so I don't have to keep hand watering, but I'm actually enjoying it with this new Dramm water wand and Fine Rain head.

I've got about 2 weeks to get the new bed up and ready for my seedlings. I have mostly onions and some back ups of brassicas, along with my favorite Romaine variety. For October, I'm going to be working on flowers.

I've also got a new grow light that I'm liking. I need to set up the app on my phone that operates the controller, so I don't have to keep turning it off and on manually. I'm very pleased with it. This one is from Vivo Sun.
