Happy to hear arguments to the contrary, but I think it is awful to attack people who were former GOP (even so far as to vote for Trump in 2016) but admit they made a big mistake and are now pro-Biden. Kindness and humility are the pillars of progressivism and reason.

My distrust of such is rooted in their motives for doing so. They're only with us because there are no good alternatives from the party that made them politically homeless. Too many want all the things MAGA does but are just quieter about it.

I think you’re right to point out that past/present motivation/mindset is the key. It will be different for every person. All I’m saying is that “voting for Trump in 2016 but not 2020 and now being pro Biden” can beg questions, but it shouldn’t invite attack.
