This is a big part of why it's so important to push back against the ageist nonsense. It's common for people to live a lot longer. I hope seeing an 80+ yr. old Biden in office successfully running the nation encourages folks to overcome their ageist bias. Representation matters in this case as well.

Oddly, I’ve found many of my friends getting more progressive as we age. And we are living a lot longer. Average life expectancy in North America is over 80. If you don’t have a major health issue before 60, you’re likely to live to live to 100.

The craziest part for me is how easily these mostly younger people think old people are useless and that young people don't have any health issues because they are young
