Republicans are now ignoring the courts.

Pay attention: if they'll ignore a court ruling on this, who's to say they won't ignore a court ruling on who won an election?

It'll likely soon be necessary to deploy troops to enforce court rulings in red states, as Eisenhower did with desegregation.

Only other thing I can say about this is if the state of Ohio can ignore the court, what prevents the people from ignoring the courts.... or the states ignoring the Supreme Court.

I think the answer is “resources” and “funding”. If red states (heavily dependent on federal funding) started non complying with the law, the federal government would be able to exert massive pressure on them.
