Anyone else here grow up in a town where cruising up and down the main thoroughfare in Camaros, Oldsmobiles & Mustangs & listening to Foreigner & the Eagles & Fleetwood Mac & Steely Dan & Pink Floyd was a perfect Friday night?

We had a street that teenagers called ‘The Gut’. Carloads of restless kids crammed that street on weekends. We crept along, radios blaring, leaning out the car windows to yell crap at people. Sometimes when stuck in place for minutes people would run around the car before the light changed color.

Yes! After I came home from the military.
I didn't get to do it while in high school, 'cause I lived on a farm...😡

I believe it. We all did it too. I can’t believe the crazy sh*t we did. No seatbelts. Lots of alcohol. Just anything goes. No one died or got seriously hurt. For me it was the 80’s.
The 80’s really were as nuts as everyone says. Man, it was fun though.

Yes, in my town people cruised the main street and then looped the McDonald’s parking lot to be seen on a Friday night.
