I understand 2020 was pretty traumatic for most of us. I understand that lockdowns were extremely hard on children living in tower blocks with no gardens, for those children in abusive homes, for those living in poverty. If you had a child who needed extra care, terribly hard on the parents.

Yet the people that whined the most about lockdowns, were the privileged. Those who were regularly travelling or holidaying, those that were lucky enough to be able to afford to do what they wanted. Those that never stay still and hadn't had to cope with 5 mins alone with themselves for years.

Most of them simply don't have the ability to be still or deal with their own thoughts. For those who never went on holiday, couldn't afford to go out much, this was & their daily lives.on a normal basis. They had the added stress of finances, having to go to work when COVID was killing millions.

So it's gaslighting on another level that politicians, the media & the privileged continue to blame everything on lockdowns. They simply don't want to be restricted again even if it means someone else dying at their expense. COVID has highlighted a frightening lack of empathy & delusion.

As a society we are completely trampling on this generation of children. We are allowing them to get reinfected again & again with a disease, that can not only damage almost every organ & system in your body, but for which we are yet to know the real long-term damage.
