That looks like a Honeycrisp apple. They are a modern apple, invented in 1974 for taste and size. They didn't make the supermarkets until 1997. That's why it's big. If it's not a honeycrisp, it's cross breeding to sell more apples. Further, it's unlikely that this apple is organic.

Why not organic? Organic honeycrisps are the biggest bin at our Sprouts.

And Colorado western slope are the best, and 2nd place ain’t close.
