Grocers trying to blame diet pills for their drop in sales. Like, come on just admit you jacked up prices to an absurd level so people arent buying as many $6 bags of chips. I know I dont buy those $5 small bozes of cereal or $9 a pound sliced turkey meat anymore.

Is it the grocery stores or is it their suppliers? Honest question, to which I don't know the answer.

I always thought that, similar to gasoline at gas stations, there wasn't a lot of direct profit off the name brand products sold by grocery stores.

It's both. Every link in the chain is jacking up prices. Own it though, don't go disingenuously blaming diet pills. And retailers have real power to put pressure on their suppliers pricing. They choose not to because it allows them percieved cover to jack up prices more.
