I've been watching the excellent "Lewis" on BritBox. This episode with the observatory is giving me flashbacks to my 1st marriage to a theoretical astrophysicist; he actually did a visiting fellowship at Cambridge, but not Oxford

Did he bang his head a lot, repeatedly, on the same things?
We could share theorist stories.
Mine nearly set the lawn on fire "teaching" me how to light the tabletop grill.

OMG. Mine had a giant ego, was a workaholic obsessed with media appearances during astronomical events, and was a competitive cyclist who destroyed my love of cycling. He also wanted me to be someone I never could be, a perfect faculty spouse.

Mine is mild-mannered, but can be a bit of a know-it-all and very stubborn. If something makes sence to him "in theory", it must work! In theory coffee makers work by heating them on the stove. So when he melts the electric coffee maker into sludge on the gas stove, it's the coffee makers fault.
