Many rivers of Manchester were covered by the growth of the city. In 2022 Mayfield park was the first to be created in the city centre for over a 100 years. The #River Medlock was uncovered during the work. (not my photo).

A small river runs through an urban park. On its right is a raise embankment with a brick wall. In places the walkway juts out towards the river. There’s a Victorian brick building behind it. Ahead of us we can see a city skyline.
