I had to clog to Rolling In My Sweet Baby's Arms. As to Slim Whitman, I believe the commercial said he had sold more records than Elvis and The Beatles combined so, he must have been fantastic.

When I was 10 or 11, roughly every third television commercial was for this goddamn singing hobo.

It can be fun. I think it was more that I was in a children's acting group that did performances around the area. There were times that other kids would sing "Rolling in my sweet babys arms" to tease me. Plus, i was more into rock.. As an adult, I'm sure I would find it enjoyable.

I heard a lot of Slim Whitman when I was growing up because my mom loved him. His falsetto was so strong & pure.
