Reminder: if a spout resonates with you:
- liking it helps the spouter find her people
- echoing helps her spout get seen by others

Both are nice. Echoing really helps us non-famous but sincere people connect with their tribes here.

I am starting to think it is more important to reply so as to engage in conversations.

Hopefully it goes with out saying that if you can't reply positively or constructively without being mean it would be best to just skip the person's spout.

I get the impression that most accounts on here aren't interested in conversation from the anger in their spouts and combative nature they take with anyone that replies without echoing their thoughts. There's no conversation to be had if you're only allowed to agree 100%. I already regret replying.

This is why I only engage in politics just a little. I mostly want to talk about food, cooking, travel and personal finance. I will engage a little into US politics but if convo/thought doesn’t seem thought out I’m going to keep scrolling.
