The Mad Genius of Spoutible

It’s #soloperformances Tuesday in my week-long @spoutingclassics ode to Prince. Here’s a deep cut from “Purple Rain” that, as the story goes, prompted Tipper Gore and company to form the Parents Music Resource Center, which gave us all those Parental Advisory stickers on albums and such.

In response to The Mad Genius of Spoutible.
I remember this! As a result of Gore's actions, we kids tended to gravitate to music with advisory labels on it, often simply because we were being told we couldn't listen to it. We found ways to obtain & share music that curled our parents' toes & it was great!

Thank you, Prince 💜🎸
