So much for the narrative that Biden is giving Israel a blank check.

Of course Biden supports military action against Hamas- they're an enemy of the US who attacked an ally and is holding US hostages. But he has also worked hard to limit escalation and harm to innocents.

Let's put the emphasis and $$$ to humanitarian aid, and itty bitty to military aid.

Gaza has 2.3 million people. The water that arrived, after Israel cut it off, was enough for 22,000 people to drink for 1 day. Gaza hospitals are operating without anesthetic. 20 trucks in two weeks are not aid, they are a publicity stunt as Gaza required 550 trucks/day prior to the Israeli assault.

It's not nearly enough, obviously. But it is a step in the right direction, it will help some people, and Biden did that.

To call it "a publicity stunt" implies no actual aid was sent, and is therefore misleading, verging on the conspiratorial.

Sorry, I can’t see this as a big Biden win. It looks more like Israel trying to help Biden improve his image at home. “Wow, he talked us into letting 20 whole trucks (

Obviously the situation is not resolved, but it does show Biden is doing something. It also fits with some other reports, and I'm skeptical Netanyahu (who backed P01135809) would want to polish Biden's image- especially as it reflects badly on him (ie, they only let aid in because Biden made them).
