You know why White people have a hard time with race? It's fairly simple: WE INVENTED IT. We took a flawed understanding of Darwin, combined it with faulty 18th and 19th century concepts, and built a mechanism that told us, in no uncertain terms, that White skin leads to "superiority."

Phrenology. Facial construction. Eugenics. IQ tests. All of these things, along with a litany of others, were bolted together over centuries to create a comfortable carpet for White people to walk on. Every test, every theory pointed to the conclusion that we were just "the best."

But you only create the tests and theories that support what you already "knew." There was no SCIENCE involved, except as a facade put in place to give it all a veneer of truth. You could create any experiment you wanted to prove your pet theory of White supremacy.

And if, for some reason, your experiment led to a different conclusion, you simply CHANGED THE EXPERIMENT. Science is not the panacea for our troubles. Even now, as it disproves the things these prior "experiments" granted certitude, they, too, are fraught with flaws. There's no escaping it.

White folk, race will "go away" when we DECIDE it will. When we stop clinging to it as our personal yardstick. When we come to grips with the fact that every individual is unique and there are no patterns that make us better. Until then, non-White people will continue to make us eat our own words.

as far as i know, i never took an iq test. i grew up in the decades of standardized testing to contribute big data to national & regional educational studies. when i came to understand what an iq test was, i desperately wanted to take one in hopes of being a hidden genius.

That was the trick. They were, from the beginning, slanted to ensure that non-Whites would score lower, thereby reinforcing the idea that Whites were superior, in doing so, White people with even marginal intelligence could be given the idea that they were geniuses, and that was what was important.

my mother say something about iq tests being discriminatory-which i sorta kinda understood & asked her how? she gave me this example: teacup goes with saucer, table, dinner, or cooking. i said “saucer,” like “duh, who wouldn’t know that?” mom said, “many people have never seen a teacup & saucer.
