Hey, Spouties, any Apple gurus here? I’ve a friend with iPad woes. He got an older iPad Air 2 passed down to him, but it’s running an old IOS. No matter how many times he tries, the update fails. Spent hours with Apple support and it still won’t update. Anyone have any ideas why?

Has plenty of storage space, so that’s not the problem. He can’t run some apps cause the IOS is outdated. Do iPads actually break and become junk? There is no reason why his iPad won’t update. The model will accept the IOS he is trying to update.

Yes. He is totally frustrated. Ready to throw in the towel and just for what he can.

Best thing to do is probably a full reset, and then re-load IOS (You have to do this with itunes)

Here is an article, but you need to put it in recovery mode and reinstall IOS (This process will delete everything on it so save anything needed first)
