SF uses goats around some reservoirs and hillsides to control weeds; our neighborhood loves to see them.

Fun and functional story (gifted). What a wonderful way to mow the lawn, reduce carbon emissions, increase natural ferlization... But seriously folks, 2% of all the US is covered in grass?! 3x more than all the corn crops?! We have to do better! #Gardening #Nature #ClimateChange

I read a few years ago goats are one of the few non-toxic alternatives to kudzu removal in the southeast.

That makes sense. It’s important to cycle their workdays so that they don’t spread invasive plants via their digestive ‘output’

It’s so cool to see the goats! We hired 5 goats to clear ivy & brush in our backyard. All the neighbors wanted to visit! Eco friendly & fun! #CityGrazing

Are those the ones by Heron Point? Next to the California native plant place?

Our local NextDoor usually announces when they show up, so everyone knows to go see them. It’s the best thing about that site, frankly.
