NewsCorp treating it like it’s a bad thing that:

Anthony Albanese attended a pro-Palestine rally when he was younger.

They Tony Burke support the Canterbury-Bankstown council unanimously voting to fly the Palestinian flag.

Victoria flew some at Fed Square.

Palestinian citizens are dying.

Children.

We have a Palestinian community here who are losing friends and family at home.

It’s okay to object to that.

It’s okay to call for that suffering and death to end.

And it’s absolutely okay to support people grieving that loss.

I think it’s brilliant that Anthony Albanese stood with the Jewish community, stood by Josh Burns and the Jewish community of Mcnamara last week. That’s a strong show a solidarity for a people who experienced the similar loss and terror, and good leadership.

Doing the same or similar for Palestine and our Islamic community is not just okay, it’s necessary.

I wish he was attending a gathering of support and grief for them now, as the leader of our country and a party which is supposed to support a two state solution.

Calling for a ceasefire, for peace, is not an offence to either country or either people.

It’s a a sign of respect for both, because both are worthy of peace, both people deserve peace.

Terrible of NewsCorp to treat it as a political football.
