DeSantis used fraud to lure people from San Antonio and dump them in a remote island community that scrambled to care for them.

This was trafficking — and the perpetrators must be held responsible.

Isn't it a felony to ship anyone over state lines under false pretenses? "Inviegalment" or something with the spelling less butchered. Why are Abbott, Desantis and Vertil facing charges for all the migrants they've shipped across the country. It has to be close to 1000 yet no legal repercussions🤔🤔

You were super close, though... inveiglement. It's one of those weird ones that don't follow the "i before e, except after c" rule. I only remember it because it was a spelling bee word I missed as a kid.

That one always trips me up.... And autocorrect gets it wrong😂

That doesn't mean Desantis and Abbott especially haven't committed, and are still committing(🤬) a felony for each migrant they trick. The Las doesn't have a cutout for undocumented migrants. They need to face a court for it...

The rule has a third part:
"i before e,
except after c or
when it makes the sound 'ay', as in neighbour or weigh."

I went all the way through college english courses and never learned that! Apparently the people who program autocorrect never learned that either😂

You really do learn something new every day if you hang out around here. That is simply awesome! Thank you for the additional grammatical lesson!
