It's what you don't see. It seems the mass killing in Maine is already out of the media minds as they move on to the next thing. We get about one minute of coverage per death these days, some prayers from the GOP, and then it's waiting for the next one. Repeat.

Exactly. How can we possibly keep up to mourn/reflect properly on each tragedy when it's a nearly daily occurrence? In the mind or not, I can see and have felt how it gets so exhausting and demoralizing. I'm in Maine and felt so numb when I heard what happened, but I know how I'm supposed too feel.

I have friends in the Sikh community
We’re traumatized it’s impossible to deal with the grief
Our so called leaders are paid well to keep us frightened

I'm so sorry for you and all close to these tragedies. Heartbreaking, frustrating and enraging don't begin to describe what feelings are felt and justified, especially at this point. We need action and have to keep fighting for reform, no matter how much the odds feel against us.
