Happy Halloween from Jupiter, the Cyclops planet! Actually, Hubble captured the shadow of Jupiter’s moon Ganymede sweeping the Great Red Spot, a giant storm. It gave Jupiter the creepy appearance of having a pupil in a 10,000-mile (16,000-km) diameter eye: https://bit.ly/3Zlp4Fa

The planet Jupiter, a sphere with horizontal stripes of brown, tan, orange, beige, light blue, and white appears against a solid black background. The entire sphere is tipped about 20 degrees to the right, so that the stripes appear slanted, with the left side higher than the right side. The right edge of the sphere is crisply defined, but the left side fades into shadow. The planet’s stripes have varying widths, from very thin to very wide. Within these stripes are mottled, wavy regions, along with several ovals of various sizes. Most of the ovals are whitish, but the largest oval, the Great Red Spot, is orange. This orange oval appears about two-thirds the way from the top, and slightly off-center to the right. Within the Great Red Spot, and slightly to its left side, is a solid black circle. Together, the Great Red Spot and the black spot within it look like an eye staring back at the viewer.
