Wouldn't any other defendant be rebuked for this sort of appalling behavior, cited with contempt of court, and be made to accept some sort of punishment from the judge? Why is that not happening?https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/live-blog/trump-fraud-trial-live-updates-rcna122520

Okay, so the criminal about to become a pauper is indeed being reprimanded by the judge, just not about his attacks on the judge himself. The report from this article is somewhat reassuring, though not entirely.

Yes! Maybe Judge Engoron is holding back now but will completely obliterate Trump with the judgement when this circus wraps up. That would be a good end result, but allowing Trump to have free rein to threaten and abuse WHILE ON THE STAND (!) doesn't say much for equal treatment under the law.

Note: reply was edited to remove "lie" from what Dump is being allowed to do, blatantly, on the stand. Of course he's going to lie - and no person ever born or yet to be born, this judge included, has any power to prevent that from happening.

To quote George Orwell 'all animals are equal, but some are more equal than others'.
