Don't believe it for a minute.

The GOP has nothing to offer BUT "culture war" nonsense and they're going to run on it regardless. They're in fear mode.

Not only that, but they know the mainstream media - like WaPo - will never push back on their lies.

Good take by Greg Sargent about how the GOP's war for "parents rights" – i.e. institutionalizing bigotry and racism in schools – is not the winner they, and the pundits, thought it was when Youngkin won. Gifted.

It’s all they have. They have zero ideas and zero substantive policies. And legacy media likes the idea of not paying reporters so regurgitating gop press releases is now their MO.

Every mainstream media outlet will run with it and try to divide us against each other. It didn’t work on my ancestors and is sure as hell won’t work on me, or any other wp I speak to before Election Day.

It may not work on you or anyone you know, but as long as the GOP can "otherize" groups, it's really all they have. And sadly it DOES work on more white people than not.

Absolutely. They thought it was a winning strategy...but whether it is or not, it's who they are and all they care about.

Which is why they're going to keep weaponizing it.
