The did a lot more of it in Canada and the Catholic rapey Church was involved from start and the last one was there's. It was atrocious and horrible. Disgusting

Same down here (we call them "Indian boarding schools"). I grew up with elders who used to talk about the boxes of braids they saw when they arrived at their school & the grief and dehumanization they felt to see their own braids gruffly tossed in after their hair was cut. Beyond cultural genocide.

Needing to legislate this is appalling. This happens way, way to often. I remember hearing about this 3-4x yearly, usually around high school graduations. As a society, we have to better. Period.
