Yes and no, it is really annoying that if you make say, $15,000 a year (🥺), you get help from the Government. If, however, you go over, say, $15,000, the Government will stop all help. Example: if you take Social Security early, and make over $25,000 you start to lose $$ for every $ you make over.

Exactly. When people do a little better, the policy is to take the "extra" away to keep them in poverty. And I doubt the $15K people are getting enough help to move them out of poverty.
