My latest prayer shawl for my church, using a pattern shown to me by @knitquiltsewst1 a while back. I really like how it turned out using yarns I already had on hand, and a very simple 4 row repeat. #Knitting #Shawl

Years ago, when I first became sick, a local church gave me a beautiful prayer shawl. It was an incredibly loving gesture. For someone like me, who has moved through most of my life without close contact with family, I was deeply moved.

They do indeed let people know that they are cared for. We do put a lot of love into what we make. I like to think of them as a hug you can wrap yourself in whenever you need one. I really enjoy making them, and so glad one helped you.

That’s a beautiful way to think about them. Thank you for caring and sharing love in this way.
