There are 20,000 species of bees.
(4,000 are native to the US.)

2 easy ways to help bees:

1. Plant flowers that are native, no matter where you live.
2. Stop using insecticides, especially neonicotinoids.

16 acres of woods and wildflowers, no lawn.

How wonderful! Cannot get better than that.

5 acres of Cross Timbers in Oklahoma, and working on restoration. Incredibly slow work but love every second of it, especially when the ancient seedbank and my feathered friends lend a hand.

...And no lawn, either...ever.

I would add a 3rd to your list. Put a plate out where you flowers are planted with filtered water in it in the summertime or times of drought. Bees need water, too.

Or, if you have a birdbath, put a rock in it, that rises above the water level. That way the bees can crawl down to the water, for a drink.

Encourage your state to seed wildflowers in median strips and the edges of freeways.
