I'm going to say it again. Republicans have spent decades infiltrating local offices like the school board, water board, judgeships, etc. It's part of the plan because they know people don't turn out for local elections. You better start paying attention and voting locally.

Also local elections tend to have MORE impact on our daily lives. Who is going to install that stop sign at that dangerous intersection? Who controls whether more firefighters are hired? Who controls parks, libraries, downtown lighting, etc? It's our local officials.

Fairfax City, VA just dodged a bullet with a MAGA candidate being defeated for Mayor. He tried to stack the city council with his cronies too. Thankfully, a democratic-leaning candidate won after a solid grassroots effort. We MUST pay attention and VOTE in every election!

The Republican Party is also funneling obscene amounts of money into local elections to support their candidates. Hard to compete with that money but it can be done.

Yup

Republicans play long game. Those w/mega wealth fire up poor, middle class & upper middle class w/fear & anger, cuz those emotions are powerful & energize.

Too many Democrats are complacent, cuz things aren't so bad for them & have no opinions.

Indys?
