All Elmo has to do was leave things alone.

Fear it may be another episode of Short Attention Span Theater as most of these companies are merely "suspending" or "pausing" their advertising on the nazi-friendly platform, not cancelling their ad buys and shutting down their accounts.

Waiting for the furor to die down, then business as usual.

Maybe, but there does tend to be a herd mentality on these things. No one wants to be first or loudest but when there is a stampede to the exits, no one wants to be last in the room. These advertisers have boards of directors and shareholders who know how to apply pressure. Not sure they'll return.

I'd like to believe that, too, but this isn't their opening act.
We've seen this play before.

I will be watching along with you.
(I'm also counting the days until Linda Yaccarino leaves which will continue to damage X/Twitter as an advertising platform.)
