Is this "just" a long exposure or did you do some post processing? Love the texture in the people.

Long exp while walking a few feet. Leave the shutter open for a bit while stopped down so you can "paint" with the light in front of you. I pushed the saturation a bit in post to enhance that "painterly" feel. It's almost 100% in camera.

Thanks for the explanation.

There are some cool techniques, where you use a dark room and then during a long exposure you move a flashlight around to really paint your image.

I remember all that. I used to do photograms and things. I used to have to do Dodging and Burning a fair bit too. Before Photoshop, I used pantyhose stretched over a coathanger under the enlarger lens. It did wonders to even out skin tone or give a glow. Easier now but less visceral.

Glad I'm not the only one who did photoshop long before Adobe :)
I had a friend who started painting developer onto the exposed photography, thus giving a very cool effect - some parts of the image would get more developed that others.
