After doing DNA & working on my family tree, I have Cherokee & Pamunkey ancestors. Several of my grandmothers married Scottish fur traders & passed during the Trail of Tears. I do have some relatives on Dawes Rolls. I see familiar characteristics, but I feel, like an imposter or cliché. 😔

You shouldn't feel that way. You're a living testament of your Native American ancestors strength to survive. Thank you for sharing.
