How many things go like this? Does this example sound familiar?

Suffered with undiagnosed endometriosis, fibroids and internal scarring for more than 30 years before I could get a doctor to agree to finally take the defective parts out. And the surgeon *still* looked to my husband for approval during the consult. Infuriating.

Sounds familiar to me. My daughter just went through all of this with incisional endometriosis. A female doctor and a female surgeon doubting what she had. My daughter has a pretty high tolerance for pain. I encouraged her to cry and scream all over them. Finally, she got the surgery she needed.

And I'm assuming (because I don't know) that pelvic congestion syndrome is treatable and something you won't have to live with.

But take your list and apply it to autoimmune diseases. That cycle sometimes takes years before you get the right diagnosis.
