I am sympathetic to the fear of losing their culture. But Quebec often reacts negatively and lashes out instead of trying to be proactive and welcoming. This isn't the way.

I've actually been learning French for over 6 months now, just because. I actually find it fun. It can be that for others too, they just need to be creative and open-minded. And remember that ALL language is fluid, including Québécois French.

Agreed. The Quebec government tendency is to force language else face penalties. We need more carrot and less stick.
