Seems like he did. Nobody who wants to run a thriving company would keep trying to destroy it every chance he gets to make it less profitable.

Sometimes you pay money to destroy something and in this case success is not measured by an economic track record. If the aim is to obstruct the lines of communicaltion and organisation then success is measured by degrading the interaction.
