A short thread incoming. I am so tired of the "woke narrative" ruining the movie theater.l when it's not nonsense. Exhibit A:

The above article reinforces the narrative that has been happening all year, movie viewing is down all around, not just over "woke" films/companies like Disney.
Exhibit B.

Movie theater viewing has been a declining experience for me personally since my late 20s. Annoying babies crying in movies, teenagers getting "excited" over a sex scene in a film, couples fighting during films are just a few of the things that became common on theater visits.

Then came on demand movies, pay 20 dollars to watch the same film at home without interruptions? Sign me up!

Fast forward a few more years, then the streaming wars begin. The amount of media at my fingertips, for less than 10 bucks a month?! Who the hell needs the movies?!

I would only go for certain films that I really want to see on the big screen.

Now enter COVID 19, no more movie theater. Streaming is the normal and now all the big names are in the streaming game. So much to watch than ever before!

This brings me to today. Prices at the theater are ridiculously too high, food as well. Why spend 50$ when I can wait 2~3 months to watch the film on streaming? There is no need anymore. The companies did this to themselves by making streaming such a cheap and easy way to watch movies.
