Went to see The Little Prince at the Guthrie Theatre yesterday (Minneapolis landmark) with a friend who thought that she hated The Little Prince because she read it too young—and she loved it. Wondering what book you read / show you saw too young and didn’t appreciate until later.

Books really do change with you, don't they? I'm too lazy to go back and read books I initially hated, but reading Jane Austen as an adult is completely different than reading her as a teenager, as an example.

[also, waving at you from across the river in St. Paul]

I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I have never read Jane Austen, but I did see all the Jane Austen movies that came out in the nineties. (And nice to meet you! I’m a Minneapolis & St. Paul lover but I live in the suburbs.)
